Second sidestory for rayemars' whorehouse AU (with consent from the author), 9 to 5 Grind, which you can find here. Detailing an incident which is never completely explained in 9 to 5 Grind's last section. A few yakuza terms are used in this fic, but their meaning is pretty much implied in the context, so there shouldn't be any problems. This was actually written several months ago, but I couldn't post until rayemars got to the part of 9 to 5 Grind that this piece addresses, so here it is.

Dealing with the possibility that Sasuke did not override his old teacher’s consciousness quite as thoroughly as he believed at the time.

Notes: Inspired vaguely by this week's naruto100 challenge and more specifically by Twin Sun Leader on FFN, who requested Orochimaru and Voldemort meeting. However, I'm pretty sure this wasn't what she had in mind.
Synopsis: Orochimaru, Leaf jounin, age fourteen-ish, book-obsessed introvert. Tom Riddle, wizard alumni of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, age thirty-five plus, evil from day one and not getting any better. In which shinobi may kick more ass, but unfortunately they have no idea how to Apparate or what great dangers a stick of wood may present. Also known as the vaguely AU story where two strange people inspire each other completely inadvertently while still managing to hate each other's guts. Or what have you.

( Orochimaru thought it odd how much attention the man paid to his eyes and the snake tattoo curling around his left forearm. He absently found himself regretting that he had neglected to put on his usual arm guards this morning. )
